Frame Making Steps

Picture How to Frame?

Exciting times! You have your new frame and now you need to frame your beloved picture, photograph, or artwork. This step-by-step guide ensures it won’t take long.

Before You Start

Placing your picture and attaching the hanging hardware will take approximately 3 minutes.

  • Check the box and ensure you have everything you need
  • Make sure your hands are clean before touching your picture
  • Clean a flat working surface

Placing Your Picture

Start by placing your picture face down on the counter.

Dismantle Your Frame

After checking that all your pieces are in place, you can start framing your picture. First, you need to remove all components inside the frame.

  1. 1. Place your frame face down
  2. 2. Gently lift the flexible points using a knife or flathead screwdriver
  3. 3. Carefully remove the boards and glass, leaving the frame empty. Set them aside for now
  4. Attach Your Picture to the Mount

Did you order a mount board? You’ll need to tape your picture to the back of the mount.

    1. 1. Place your picture face down
    2. 2. Apply a strip of tape across the top edge of your picture as shown
    3. 3. Flip your picture over and carefully place the mount over it
    4. 4. Ensure the picture is correctly positioned, flat, and press down firmly to secure it
    5. 5. Turn the mount and picture face down again and smooth out the tape for a strong bond
    6. Prepare the Glass

At this stage, it’s recommended to clean your glass. Although we make every effort to minimize dust at our factory, some may still be present. This final cleaning ensures that no frustrating particles remain once the picture is framed.

    Assemble It

Once you’re sure the glass is completely clean:

    1. 1. Place your glass or acrylic back into the frame
    2. 2. Insert your picture (and mount) into the frame
    3. 3. If you ordered a barrier board, place it into the frame
    4. 4. Reinsert your MDF backing panel into the frame
    5. 5. Push the flexible points back into place to secure the frame components

Once you’ve reassembled all frame parts, you can flip the framed picture over to ensure you’re satisfied with the alignment.

    Attach the Hanging Fixtures

All of our frames are suitable for hanging. If you are leaning your frame against a shelf, you can skip the following steps.

Thread the wire through the D-rings and then pull tightly. Cut any excess wire and make sure it is securely fastened.
