Design Your Custom Multi-Aperture Mount

Design Your Custom Multi-Aperture Mount

How to Design It?

Your mounts can be cut with apertures in the sizes you want. You can create one accordingly. You will need a rough sketch showing how you want the layout arranged and a few measurements. This page details how to do it.

What to Do

Custom-sized mounts with apertures can be configured to display up to 50 pictures in a single frame. Each aperture can be made in different sizes, and there are virtually no restrictions in terms of layout design. You don’t need to compromise when designing your mount. You don't need to crop your photos unnecessarily, and you can frame all your favorite photos without leaving any out.

  1. Outer Dimensions - If your mount is to fit an existing frame, please specify the external dimensions of the mount. These dimensions should match your current glass or backing size.
  2. Apertures - the exact dimensions of each aperture. These are the window sections where your picture will be mounted behind. The height and width of each aperture should be provided. Note that the size you provide will be the cut size, so ensure the height and width are slightly smaller than your picture; otherwise, it may fall through the aperture! See Figure 1 (A).
  3. Borders - the distance between the aperture and the mount edge. See Figure 1 (B).
  4. Gaps Between Apertures - the distance between each aperture. Please note that the minimum allowed distance between apertures is 15 mm. See Figure 1 (C).
